IMO the best SEO solution for vBulletin forums is vbSEO: vBSEO

I use it on my forums and it works wonders in slowly building SEO and in turn, PageRank.

I am considering it. There are a few things I am going to be doing here like making the links more "word friendly" (instead of for example: www. modeeworld. com/forums/showthread.php?t=_____ , www. modeeworld. com/forums/SEO_for_vbulletin.html etc. etc.)

I am not sure if I have robots.txt on here properly yet, if at all.

And some other tools I want to implement.

Exeneva, can you tell me what the benefits are of having VBSEO here if, say, I do not want to do Google Adsense?

And, what if I do want to do Adsense?

Either way, what does vbSEO do, and what has it done for your forum?

I have vbSEO and vb site map installed and running now. As you can see, the links are no longer jumbles of numbers, but rather mostly words. That is the visible part of it anyway.

The latest vbulletin (like this one vb 5) implement SEO friendly URLs automatically. vbseo is no longer needed and the company is dead anyway.

There are two schools of thought though, some believe that the long URLs with the complete name on there are the best, and others think that for forums, for example, the link should just be like
forums/forum-2.html
forums/forum-3.html
etc.
