Amazon allows Chinese knock off counterfeit products on its site

Amazon is extremely buyer friendly.
Amazon return / exchange policy - the best in the business for buyers - Free EBAY, PayPal, Business and Law Forums - Ebay Suspension, PayPal Limited

But so buyer oriented that they allow most anything to be sold on their site, even in direct competition with other sellers.

For example Amazon has allowed a Chinese knock off of a patented bedding product to be sold on its website, which has destroyed sales by the original U.S. manufacturer, a business started up by a nurse and her husband.

Basically, AMZN doesn't really care who sells on their website, as long as they sell.

They're also quite happy to monitor sales of new products, and if something new starts to sell really well, they'll sign an exclusive deal with the manufacturer and kick the seller out of the marketplace altogether.

Using your competitor as a marketplace is not without its risks, even if it does bring incredible exposure...

AMZN has a lot of issues, and it charges a huge commission for all sales, usually 15% (with breaks on AMZN marketplace sales). Somehow still people are able to sell on that site for low prices.

One thing about AMZN is that they can't stop people from listing on AMZN and then selling off of AMZN, directly to you. It's not worth it for the sellers to do this for low ticket items, but I have bought five figure items directly from the seller for a lot less after initially finding on AMZN.
