Court case could redefine business method, software patents
So called "business method" patents have been issued for some time now. Examples include Amazon's "1 click" ordering system and Priceline's auction technique for selling tickets.
Now the Supreme Court will decide which of these so-called "methods" is too abstract to be worthy of patent protection.
So...what's next? Patenting a method to determine who will go to the bathroom next? Oh. But IBM already patented that
