What I mean is, when everything related to telecommunications costs is going down, Why does the cable TV and internet bill always go up to where you have to call and fight with them every 6-12 months to get your bill back down? And of course you'd best be prepared to be on hold for a long long time and be transferred at least once before any resolution.
Of course when pressed they come up with the lame answer that the "cost of content" is going up, but let's face it, these companies have near monopolies in each service area and have us at their mercy. Average of $200. per month for cable TV / telephone / internet has become the norm.
After the long conversions and they get you to agree to "just" twenty dollars higher than it was, or best that your rate reverts to what it was without going higher, they make you feel like it was a victory.
