Well look at it this way...no one can take your education away from you, no matter what your major. That said my undergrad. major had nothing to do with my graduate school major per se. On the other hand any degree that teaches you how to read and write well will help you in anything you do, including graduate school.
Also, I didn't take much in the way of "business" courses in school learned all that from family and by doing because all are heavily involved in business.
I think for every person who got lots of degrees and started a biotech company you'll find a college dropout who did extremely well in something else. It all depends on your drive and motivation.
