Can I suggest you make the site to use HTTPS by default, or at a minimum after sign in? Just makes it more secure.

Thought about it in the past, but it's just another expense for really nothing, we're not transmitting any vital info here other than maybe our own passwords. The site is quite secure from invaders as I have the admin folder password protected on top of everything else. -
Didn't realize it cost more. What's the additional expense for it?

It depends on your server, but anywhere from around 100 to 700 per year. The cost is for the SSL certificate.Comment

I might revisit this https idea because it seems that Google might be boosting SEO rank for https sites.
