PayPal phones connect you after a brief hold, then disconnect you

Very annoying. Been trying to phone PayPal this morning on behalf of a client, and every time, after verification of the account, and being transferred to the correct department, the line just goes dead and get a dial tone.

I've had this sometimes, not just with PayPal but also with banks and such. I believe most often it's down to the incompetence of the morons on the other end. It does make you want to reach through the phone line and punch them.

This has been the problem with PayPal past couple weeks - you are transferred to what should be a live rep, but then it either immediately disconnects, or you get a rapid busy signal and then disconnect. REALLY annoying.

Virtually impossible to speak to a live rep at PayPal lately.
