What is a verified or confirmed PayPal account? Even BUYER PayPals need be confirmed

Letlet us get our terminology straight:
A VERIFIED PayPal - means address verified somehow (such as via adding a credit card)
A CONFIRMED PayPal - means bank account attached (or credit card, for certain countries where a bank account is optional - see below threads for more on this):

For the most part, only a verified AND confirmed PayPal account is worth anything to us sellers. But lately, PayPal is requiring even PayPal accounts used solely for BUYING to become verified or confirmed! This happened to a client of mine who pays me between $1000. and $3000. each time for goods, all legitimate OFF-Ebay transactions. My PayPal accounts] was not molested in the slightest, but they just forced him to become confirmed by adding a bank account, even though all his payments have been off his credit card.

Buyer Sending Limits

I'm the newest guy on the block and have been an Ebay/PayPal account holder since 15 Dec 2006. My initial sending limit was set at $10,000. Over the last three plus years, I've made more than 200 purchases on Ebay and paid via PayPal. During the last 6 months, I've made over 40 buys on Ebay and paid via PayPal. Since 1 April, I received emails from PayPal, informing me that my sending limit is now $$$ and just recently received on which states that I have only $479.81 remaining. They tell me that to lift this limit, I have to either obtain a PayPal Credit Card or allow them direct access to my bank account information for direct withdrawal. I don't need NOR want another credit card!! They have all current/valid credit/debit card information.

Do I need to take my business elsewhere or is there another method. The PayPal method is convenient, however, I prefer to maintain my own account access and information.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

A PayPal account that is neither verified nor confirmed is about worthless. You must do one or the other.

Will they delete

If I don't verify my account will they eventual delete it?
And is there a way to un-limit my account without sending all this personal information?

I have got 2 credit cards on my PP account but it is now limited. I want to delete the Credit Cards from my limited account so I can continue buying with Ebay.

Any suggestions?
