Does Paypal require a SSN to Order the Paypal Debit Card? Request triggers SS?

Greetings everyone -

2 quick questions about the paypal debit card:

#1 - Is a social security number needed to order one ?

#2 - Has ordering a Debit Card ever triggered a request by paypal for more information/limitation for more information ?

My account is doing good and don't want to jinx it by ordering the debit card if it is going to cause me problems.
