Lately even before you are able to login, ebay is requiring Captcha verification, if certain conditions (IP address, cookies, etc. - these are described in more detail in the Short List) are met.

but all of them amount to verification that ebay enables prior to allowing login, or even prior to allowing logout. When you see these, just be aware that your activity is being placed under heightened scrutiny.
