  • Removing the listing from the entire "system"

Does anyone know of a way of deleting a listing totally, ie from the whole ebay site and not just your account?

I sold this item a few days ago and its all done and dusted and have received +ve feedback and the buyer is happy, etc. But u know sometimes when u are on someone's feedback page and click the "view item" link for that particular feedback (if the listing is not private), it takes you to the listing while other times it just gives u a message like "listing removed" (which maybe be removed by ebay, in most cases or the seller).

this is also the case with "#Listings that have ended 90 or more days ago will not be available for viewing."

Is there a way to do this to completed listings (as in item received, fb left/received) that ended earlier than that 90 day period? to remove the listing from the whole thing.

    thx

If you are asking is there a way to delete a listing AFTER it has ended - the answer is no, at least not unless you commit seppuku and get your account suspended, in which case all you listings will disappear.

One thing you can do, and many do, is delete the embedded images you use in your HTML auction listing from such services as imageshack. Then they will disappear from the EBAY auction listing as well. This is what some high end sellers, such as sellers of watches and jewelry, do to keep scammers from lifting their images and reusing them in mock auctions (auctions where the seller has nothing at all to sell, and is just trying to bilk bidders into paying).

BUT OF COURSE – if you reuse your listings or have more than one of the same item, you will want your images to remain up and available for future listings.

Otherwise, no - the auction listing will drop off after 90 days and not before. If you have ever noticed a legitimately ended listing that is not available before this 90 days, that is a fluke - not supposed to be that way - and if you check again later the listing may well be back up.
