It used to be that it was impossible to get a live person to talk to you about Ebay. While I still do not recommend contacting Ebay about account suspensions, at least not before you engage tech support and go about certain steps to reinstate your account, while your account is active if you need to contact Ebay about routine matters you may use the following methods:
To contact a Customer Support agent:
1. Go to Welcome to eBayÂ*-Â*Sign in
http:// contact.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ContactUsNextGen [remove spaces]
2. Sign in with your eBay user ID. (This will help us find your account
information.)
3. Enter your question or tell us about your issue.
4. We may need to ask you a couple of questions to make sure that we put
you in touch with the agent who can best answer your question. Click the
link that best matches your question.
OR
1. Click the "Customer Support" link at the top right of most eBay pages.
2. Click the "Contact eBay" tab and sign in.
3. Select the topic that fits your question or concern. If your issue is not resolved with the information provided, please click the "Call us" link. You'll see a phone number and a PIN to use. The PIN expires within 15 minutes, so if you're not able to call us within that timeframe, please click the "Call us" link again for a new PIN.
Sometimes the online chat method is available, and sometime only phone support. Unfortunately, when you do get an Ebay agent on the phone, while it may be someone in the U.S. it will always be a low level lackey who won't know much other than the answers to basic questions. If you ask anything complex, you will probably end up on hold for a long time, and receive little better than a boilerplate answer anyway.
