I just used my voice mail to verify a PIN on a Google Adsense account. I wasn't sure if it would work, but the automated message left the PIN number on my voice mail.
I have a toll free (800 #) that is set to terminate in a free voice mail account I got a year or two ago.
I wasn't sure if it would work - because I assumed that maybe the Adsense system would require a human to first pick up the phone and type in a number, such as in "Type 1 to accept this call" but I guess not. The automated system simply left the PIN number on my voice mail, I picked up the message, and voila! now PIN verified. Phone line is "verified."
