Names & Addresses on eBay Accounts - how long do Ebay and PayPal maintain the records

If you change the name and address on your account is the old info deleted or stored by eBay?

Any advice will be much appreciated

For that level of information you'll need the Short List. I obtained the answers to questions like that through subpoenas of Ebay and PayPal and it's not something we want Ebay to know we know, at least not publicly.

Nice topic - How about changing names , addresses etc. with New Fresh ones on a fully verified eBay and Paypal accounts, but with other country , city , phone etc. ?

Well, people do move, so of course Ebay and PayPal must allow address and telephone number changes. But if the account has been dormant for a long time and then suddenly all contact information is changed, or if the information is changed and then the account starts selling entirely different merchandise, that can send up red flags.

Ebay and PayPal do not allow account transfers without their permission, so changing the name on the account (the individual owner's name) is not something that can be done easily.

From the information available, eBay retains account information for a number of years, but PayPal retains ALL information on your account FOREVER
