First check out:
Ebay Tracking via pictures - reusing the same pictures / images in listings? - Free EBAY, PayPal, Business and Law Forums - Ebay Suspension, PayPal Limited
For embedded images in HTML auction listings, I recommend ImageShack, because it is untraceable for our purposes. When using ImageShack, always use the DIRECT LINK for the image.
Beginning in October 2012, however, Ebay will require each auction listing that HAS embedded images to post at least one image with Ebay's own image hosting service.
Not a big deal - but just be careful. If you run multiple accounts as I do, make sure you use the image hosting from the corresponding account only for each auction listing. In other words, use for example Ebay A's image hosting service for posting images on listings for Ebay A - do not get confused and post by mistake an image on Listing A, using for example Ebay B's image hosting service.
Also be mindful of all the same linking factors - especially IP address, cookies and flash objects
Basics to avoiding Suspension / Linking when you create a new EBAY / PayPal account - Free EBAY, PayPal, Business and Law Forums - Ebay Suspension, PayPal Limited
when you post images.
I suppose what Ebay is doing now is trying to control the posting of images, perhaps so that we will be unable to delete easily images after the auction has ended. Or maybe they have other nefarious tricks in mind.
Just be careful - be vigilant - and you'll be able to keep doing what you have always done, with impunity!
