Ok modee quick question, obviously do not use proxies and so on. But what about a program like ghostsurf platinum or newer version? would that work?

also another idea, a little costly, but what if you get several routers? You know just have a line of routers, labeled with which ebay and paypal account it is linked to lol. Would having several different routers give you several different IP addresses?

Thanks for the help you are truly awesome

      Thanks for your kind words.

Ghostsurf is a proxy. The questions you ask here - and elsewhere - would all be addressed in the over 120 page long Short List. Yes, different routers would provide different IP addresses but you may use only one router at a time. This is also addressed in the Short List.

As noted above, VPN and proxy are still bad ideas.
VPS (Virtual Private Server) as a means to get a new IP address - Free EBAY, PayPal, Business and Law Forums - Ebay Suspension, PayPal Limited

        VPS - still okay.

I have a very old time PayPal account I do NOT use with Ebay, and I log into it exclusively with proxy. It remains open, and I use it for a LOT of off-Ebay selling, BUT every now and then they ask for verifying docs, even though the account was opened in 2000. Obviously proxy does lead to close scrutiny of the account.

The latest technologies blow right through most proxies to detect actual IP address

Ebay, PayPal and Amazon have been using this technology for years, but it is now being used in the field of fraud prevention as well.

What this means is that you are NOT safe when you use a proxy - that it is possible to blow right through the proxy IP address - and get your REAL IP address. At a minimum, this software, similar to what EBay, PayPal and AMZN use, detects that you are using a proxy and that alone is cause for EBay, PayPal and AMZN to suspend you, because they then suspect that you have something to hide.
